Yes I am a total slacker when it comes to blogging lately. There have been numerous times when I have told Blake that I was going to find time to blog that day. Well.... Didn't happen. Now that all the kids are in bed asleep, I have decided to forgo cleaning the kitchen and picking up all the toys and stay up blogging. And there is so much to blog about, so prepare yourself for this
LONG blog. (Beware - picture overload!)
BROCK'S BIRTHDAYI can't believe how my baby has grown up! Brock just turned 6 and he seems to no longer be a little boy. His grandma had a little party for all the March birthdays prior to his Birthday and so we got an early start on the partying. Then on his actual Birthday he got to open some presents from Mom and Dad and his siblings. Then on the weekend we had a friend party and he was in heaven! He has been so into Star Wars so of course he had to have a Star Wars Birhday Party. We played Star Wars games, hit a Darth Vader pinata, and had the ultimate star wars Birthday cake made by our neighbor! (Thanks Felicity it was perfect) And to top it all off he got loads of Star Wars gifts. including a storm trooper costume and helmet. (can you say spoiled!) And for the next week following his Birthday he continued to get gifts in the mail from Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Nana and Opa. Not to mention that he was the star of the week the entire week of his Birthday at school. Too much FUN!!!

SPRING PICNICOne thing about spring is that it seems to tease us. It will warm up and we get spring fever only to be dumped on with snow the next day. I feel like I'm waiting for it to be really warm all spring long. So we took advantage of one of these warmer days by heading down south and taking a 4-wheeler ride and having a picnic. Brock and Corbin loved riding their 4-wheeler, and the twins were just happy to be outside. I have to say it was so cute though when Makelle would wave from one side to the other as though she were a beauty queen in a parade. Then the kids (including uncles) caught a lizard and enjoyed playing with it and torturing Grandma with it.

GRANDMA BEV'S 80thYes she is sooo young! We all partied till we were pooped! Blake's Grandma had a great Birthday Bash with tons of family and friends! We ate good food and enjoyed some wonderful entertainment. All the great Grandkids performed so Brock, Corbin, and Landon sang the song "Grandmother" from the Primary Childrens Songbook. They were so cute. But even cuter was Blake's cousin Mary's little girl Lainey who was doing the pee pee dance during her ballet! Love little kids! Thanks for the awesome party Gr. Bev!!

FIRST CAMP TRIP OF THE YEARWe decided to take out the trailer for the first camping trip of the year over conference weekend. We went down by Zion and camped out by the Virgin River. Despite a little rain and cold we had a great time. We relaxed, watched conference, let the kids ride the 4-wheeler (which Brock got to experience his first 2 minor wrecks), played in the dirt, and we even had an Easter egg hunt. Blake's Mom did a little egg hunt for the kids along the river and they loved it of course. And when it finally warmed up a little outside we colored easter eggs!

EASTER WEEKENDMy sister and her husband (JJ and Vuki) blessed their little baby Daniel on Easter Sunday so we headed up to Lehi for the weekend. We got to stay at a hotel which of course is such a luxury for my kids. They love the swimming and the continental breakfast! It was so fun to be with all my family and spend some time with them. My kids really enjoyed playing with their cousins. The Easter Bunny did find us and filled our baskets - thank goodness! On Saturday we got together for another Easter egg hunt and lunch at JJ and Vuki's new house. I'm sure every one of those kids ate way too much sugar! JJ and Vuki have 5 new foster kids all siblings from the Congo living with them now and they are so sweet and so much fun! We got to meet them and got to know them. I only got one picture so I will have to get more of them next time we see them. But it was a great weekend and every single one of my family was at church together on Sunday, all 36 of us, WOW!! (and there is 2 more on the way - CONGRATS!!)

Suck it in honey. The hassles of wearing bikini's!
FIRST HAIRCUTWhile up north Aunt Mimi (Emily) gave Daxton his first haircut. We only took off his tail and evened out the top cuz I couldn't bring myself to cut off his curls. He was not in the mood and therefore was not happy about it one bit!

Corbin got his haircut too, but he had to sit in the sink to do so (and was bribed to do so).
