Halloween and such

So yes, I am finally getting around to posting about Halloween (now that it is a week later), and other things we've been up too. We had a fun Halloween Trick-or-Treating and then going to Grandma and Grandpa's for some pizza and FUN!

We carved pumpkins 2 days before Halloween and by Halloween day they were already all shrivelled looking and it was so windy that we couldn't keep the candles lit inside. But we sure enjoyed carving them.

We carved them on Blake's B-day. Happy Birthday Sweetheart!! He thinks he's getting old but we still have a lot of livin' to do! The only thing he wanted to do for his Birthday was go hunting, so I let him go and he had a lot of fun with his Dad and brothers!

For Halloween Brock was Spiderman even though he would have rather been an astronaut, but there was no way I was going to throw together a costume like that at the last minute.



Corbin was of course Superman, MaKelle was a kitty and Dax was a monster!



They all had fun and so did Blake and I!

Brock had Red Ribbon Week at school the entire week of Halloween and got to do some fun stuff. They wore red one day, camouflage the next, their pajamas another, and then there was crazy hair day where Brock chose to color his hair BLUE!

The next week of school he asked what weird thing he had to wear to school next. It sure would be fun to dress up silly everyday I'm sure!

Eventful Saturday!!

Last Saturday we did so much and had so much fun that the kids are bored now to just be home playing with their toys.

We started the day off by attending the Sheep Parade. Yes there were sheep camps and actual sheep parading down main street in Cedar City. For those of you who don't know, Cedar is the "Festival City" so we have festivals for everything. This festival just happened to be the Livestock and Heritage Festival (or something like that). Needless to say the kids thought it was pretty fun and instead of throwing candy they threw wool (SICK)! But right by where we were on the parade route was some beautiful leaves so we had to get a photo. It was landscaped by Blake's Dad, and yes Brock is a vampire!


Then we were off to the Pumkin Patch to pick a GREAT PUMPKIN!! The boys were so anxious and it was fun! There is a small pumkin patch in Paragonah where you can go pick them and pay by the lb. I think we got some decent ones, but the pickins were slim. Next year we will have to get out there a little bit earlier.





Once we got home we had to dress up and head off to Grandma and Grandpa's for a Halloween Party! We ate and visited while the kids played games! I am still hearing at least 5 times a day about how much fun it was! Blake's Mom had so many FUN games for the kids. They did a cake walk, a fish pond, a pinata, shot cans with a rubberband gun, and even did some crafts! Needless to say they had a blast!! Everyone's costumes were so cute! Isn't Halloween F U N! Thanks Dana and Lorie!

I was a California Raisin but it was not a picture worthy costume! I wish I had gotten more pictures of everyone else cuz all the costumes were so creative!

Lastly we loaded up once more and headed to St. George for my niece Kali's Birthday Party! She had a fairy party (Brock and Corbin didn't seem to mind after all it was a Birthday Party and there were games and cupcakes)! They had a treasure hunt and played outside and ate pizza and opened presents, oh it was a good time! She was a cute fairy and so was my sis Emily! She's the hot fairy in the pics! Love ya Em!




Even blogging about that day makes me tired, but I'm smiling:)

Catching Up!

Once again I have a bunch of things to post about all at once! We went to Syracuse over UEA/Fall Recess to stay with my parents and got to do so many FUN things!

We got to spend some time with my sis Beca and her little girl Ashlynn! Ashlynn was so in love with MaKelle and was so sweet to her. She was alot of fun for the boys to play with!


We had to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for the kids cuz they have never been there, but see the commercials all the time. They had a blast playing all the games and eating pizza (which I personally thought was disgusting). My thoughts on it are that we have been there done that, but the boys are allready asking when we can go back!

Blake came up a few days after that so we waited till he got there to go to SLC and do all the fun stuff! We drove down with Nana and Opa on Saturday and went to the Gateway Mall where we visited the Planetarium. Brock is really into space lately so he and Corbin were in awe by all the neat things they had there. We even saw an Imax movie in 3D which was cool!


Then we ate lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen (yes more pizza), but it was delicious! And we were off to the Discovery Zone! For anyone who has not taken their kids to this great place, you have got to do it! It was so fun for the kids and they could have stayed there all day long. They had all sorts of neat experiments and stuff for the kids to play with and explore. We spent the most time in the little play area that had a construction zone, a farm, a water feature, a grocery store, a house, a mail station, firemen, you name it. They even had a little play area for babies so the twins were able to join in on the fun! Oh and a nursing area which is where the babies and I got comfortable (they thought of it all)! I think the highlight though was the lifeflight helicopter and simulation! The boys didn't want to leave that place! Here are some photos of the adventure!











Last but not least we got to ride tracks over to temple square and walk around the grounds. It is always beautiful there. They were allready putting all the lights up on the trees, we will have to come back when it is all lit up! Corbin really wanted to go inside the temple and kept asking where the key was to unlock the doors. He didn't want to come down the stairs when it was time to leave!

We also got to stop on our way home to see our long lost friends Jeff and Jenn! It was fun to catch up and laugh! I love hanging out with them and laughing! I didn't bring my camera in so I stole these pics off Jenn's blog, thanks Jenn love ya!



We really enjoyed ourselves and loved spending time with Nana and Opa! Thanks Mom and Dad for everything! We can't wait to do it again!

4 months old (almost 5)

Since the twins turned 4 months old I have been wanting to post an update on them, and now that I'm finally getting around to it, they are almost 5 months old (so goes the story of my life). It seems like they all of a sudden got big and started doing so many new things. Lets start with Daxton. He is starting to be such a good and happy baby, as a newborn he was very gassy and fussy, but now he loves life. As you can see he loves to eat! He is 2 lbs. bigger than MaKelle! At his last doctors appointment he weighed 14 lbs 13 oz. and was 25.5 inches long. He loves to reach for anything he can get his hands on, and he's getting really good at it. If you put toys in front of him he will be content to play. Yesterday Corbin woke him from his nap and to keep him happy he filled his entire crib with toys, and yes, he was so happy! He's starting to roll over and has been since Sept. 14th. He's not as good at it as MaKelle is but he does have a lot more weight to throw around so that could be a bit of a speed bump. He is so smiley especially first thing in the morning. We started feeding him baby cereal and he loves it!! He gobbles it down faster than I can scoop it into his mouth. We love how squishy and cuddly he is! It is crazy how different the two can be, because MaKelle is totally girl! She loves any attention you give her and has to be in the same room with you always! At her last doctors visit she was 12 lbs. 12 oz. and 24 inches long. She loves to stretch out her legs and stand straight up stiff as a board and has done so since she was a few weeks old. She too loves to play with toys but not like Dax, she rather reach for her toes or put her hands in her mouth along with anything in her hands. MaKelle is a roller, she rolls right over just about every time I lay her down. Sometimes she gets stuck on her tummy and Daxton will reach for her hair bow or her clothes and then she gets MAD!! Dax is already teasing her! When we fed MaKelle baby cereal she wasn't so sure about having that in her mouth and would constantly spit it out! Since then she does a lot better and will tolerate it enough to swallow it. One day I found her sound asleep in her saucer and it was definitely a Kodak moment! Lately she thinks she needs to sit straight up, I will lay her back into the corner of the couch and she will pop right up and then fall either to the side or straight forward. I found her doing the same thing when I would tilt her bouncy chair forward. She will be sitting before I know it!! They grow up so fast and it's been bitter sweet cuz I love that their doing all these new things, but I don't want them growing up so fast.
