This year for St. Patty's we decided to do something fun! Normally we just wear green and it is like any other day. So I painted shamrocks on the kids faces. All of them except Daxton, he screamed when I tried! The rest of them love to have their faces painted so we did and it was fun! Then we also had a green meals. My friend Ginger does this with her kids and I have always thought it was such a cute idea. So I stole the idea, thanks Ginger! For breakfast we had green pancakes, and I even made some shamrock shaped ones at Brock's request. And for dinner we had all sorts of green food! My kids loved it! They cleaned their plates! The next day Corbin told me he loves St. Patricks Day dinner, it is his favorite and he always eats it all gone! Maybe I need to color more of his food so he will eat it!
You have not failed as long as you have tried.

New beds!
Daxton and MaKelle had been sleeping in the same crib since they were born and were starting to get really cramped and squished. We felt it was time to get them some big kid beds. So we decided the best thing to do was to give them Breock and Corbin's bed since it has a trundle. And we got Brock and Corbin a bunk bed cuz they have been wanting one for awhile. We got them a loft type that has a desk, and a cabinet, and shelves. Brock and Corbin have loved their new bed! They have to take turns sleeping on the top since they both really wanted to be up there. Daxton and MaKelle love their beds too, however since they are not confined anymore they have a tendancy to get into everything and play! I have to use rubberbands to keep all the drawers and closet doors shut! Even so, they will just play with each other until they get tired enough to fall asleep. I have found them asleep on the floor or on each others bed, I even found Daxton asleep in the closet once (that was before I started putting on the rubberbands). They think they are so big!
The new bunk beds!

Daxton and MaKelle's big kid beds!

And one of the ways I found them sleeping at nap time!

My rubber band job to keep the twins out!

Isn't she so cute!

Braces
Yes I know it sucks! But I am an official brace face. It is not fun as an adult, but I cant wait till my teeth are straight. One reason why I decided to do it is because I found this program and it was called 6 month smiles. It was just what I needed at a price we could afford. The dentist, Ryan Gunn, at All About Smiles offers the program and he does a great job! So hopefully they will be off in about 6 months! They are white or tooth colored as they said at the dentist office so they aren't as noticeable which I love!

Wrestling
Brock and Corbin are doing wrestling this year and went to their firts tournament at Canyon View High School a few weekends ago. They really did well and Blake and I were so proud of them! They each wrestled 3 times. Brock lost his first, won his second, and lost his third. He took 3rd place! Brock was never pinned though, he only lost rounds by points. He is a fighter, he never gives up, he just keeps pushing and fighting to the end! We were so proud of how well he did for his first time! Corbin won his first lost his second and lost his third (but it was a close one). He tied for 2nd place! He is so aggressive and puts his whole heart into it! He is so funny to watch! We were so proud of him too for how hard he worked! Next tournament they will hopefully have learned more and will do better! Good job boys!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROCK!!
I can not believe Brock is seven!! Where did my little boy go? He is getting to be so grown up! We had the DeMille's over for cake and ice cream on Brock's birthday. And of course we opened presents. He was very spoiled with all the things he could ever want! It is always fun to get all the cousins together - they had a blast!
Then the next day (Friday) we had a friend party at Dance Magic's dance studio. Ever since we went to Hawaii and Brock saw a shark while snorkeling, he has loved sharks. He tells me he wants to grow up to be a marine biologist. Anywho, he wanted a shark themed birthday party! So we did! We had cupcakes with blue frosting and gummie sharks on them, and a shark pinata, everything was different shades of blue and white. We fished in the shark pond for our goodie bags that had shark fruit snacks, shark stickers, and a shark water squirting toy! We played a quessing game that the kids had to ask questions to guess which sea creature was pinned on their back, didn't work so well with a mirror (I didn't think of that aspect of the dance studio). And we played a shark attack game where the kids had baloons pinned to their bums and thumb tacks stuck to their noses with a bandaid, and they had to crawl around on their hands and knees trying to pop each others balloons! It was funny! I think they all had a good time and Brock had a great birthday!!
Brock is my tender hearted little boy! He is sooo good! He is very obedient, very helpful, very kind, and has a huge imagination. He and Corbin are best buds! Brock is always coming up with new games to play, he loves to draw pictures and make new things, and he loves to learn (especially about science). He loves to sit down and look at and read books, mostly non-fiction about animals or volcanoes or something like that. He is such a good friend a loves to play with his friends and is always making new friends! Brock has begun to really develop his own testimony and always reminds us to have fmily home evening every week! He has been such a blessing in our lives and we can't believe how grown up he is getting! We love you Brock!
