YES the twins are 6 months old! Where does the time go? And not only are they getting big , but they are reaching so many new milestones. First off they are SITTING! AHHH, it still makes me want to cry how fast things happen! But, they love it! It is so fun for them to sit up and play with toys. Makelle is a bit more sturdy than Dax so far, but he is not far behind. Not only are they sitting but they are teething. Daxton is so fussy and grumpy about it you would think that he had more than just one tooth coming in. In fact I have yet to feel any teeth cutting through his gums. And then there is MaKelle who never fusses or acts like she is teething and I feel a tooth cutting through her gums on the top. What an angel she is (most of the time). Finally we started feeding them vegetables, and fruits will be soon to come. I fed them squash the other day and Dax loved it, MaKelle spit it out. So it was when we first fed them cereal and MaKelle soon came to love it so I have high hopes for her. I took them in for their six month doctor appt. and Dax weighed 17 lbs. 11 oz. and was 26 3/4 inches long. Makelle came in at 15 lbs. and was 26 inches long. They are so fun and I love having two, I just wish they wouldn't grow so fast :)
For those of you who know Corbin, you also know that he has a dear attachment to a bear blankie. Well whenever he has this bear blankie he sucks his thumb. This is a habit we have been trying to break. So we told Corbin that it was time to give up the bear blankie to the blankie fairy so she could give it to another baby that needed the blankie more than him. We told him that he was a big boy and didn't need a baby blanket any more. So after much discussion he decided he would give it to the blanket fairy. Thus in return the blanket fairy left him a new toy! We had a few hard nights going to bed without the bear blankie, but he is doing much better and the thumb sucking is is getting less and less every day! As cute as it was that he sucked his thumb and cuddled that blankie, I'm glad that he had a fairly easy transition in getting rid of it.

They are so dang cute! I loved it when Nathan could sit up on his own. I know they grow up so fast, but it seems like at 6 months, things just get a little easier. But then, before you know it, they're crawling and getting into everything!! You're going to have so much fun! Your kids are all so cute!
Dax that dang cute chunk! Love the pics! Makelle is so sweet! I know she will be mommy's best friend and helper! I thought the blanket fairy was a super idea! How'd you think of that? Anyways with the blankie gone... it seems like he's not so little anymore! Your right.. time flies and it makes me want to cry as well!! I feel like I haven't spent enough time with them!
I remember that blanket. Trevor had one like it and we brought it to Corbin's bday party. And it confussed pour Corbin.
Hey, i found your blog on Bree's. Hope you dont care that i took a peek! Your twins are so cute, and getting big! Hey have you tried teething tablets? They work wonders! I have used them for all four kids. My baby is already teething and they have helped her alot. When they are really bad try a alittle benadryl-rub it on their gums. Or if your desperate try a dose of tylenol with the teething tabs. I learned a few tricks working at the pediatrics office! Hope one of these help. Teething is no fun for the poor litle things!

Hey its me agin...yes you can get the teething tablets at Wal Mart, but thet were out when I went to get them , so I found some at Lins by the baby stuff. Hope they help!

I KNEW it was your mom! I would have said hi if we weren't running to our seats! We were scared we'd be late.....yes I am that obsessed. Anyway, tell you mom I said hi and that she doesn't look a day older than the last time I saw her. Anyway, cute kiddo's and way to go keeping up with blogging, all mommy duties and 4 kids! Super woman just lost her spot.
